Camping Pods

 

Brimpts Farm Camping Pods provide rustic, affordable, year round accommodation for campers, glampers and outdoor enthusiasts whatever the weather. They are nestled in a pretty green glade within easy access of free hot showers and washroom facilities.  Each camping pod is ark-shaped, timber clad and designed to sleep four adults comfortably in bunk beds.

 

There are lots of good pubs fairly nearby.

 

Well behaved dogs are welcome. All dogs must be kept on leads around stock, horses and camping neighbours.

 

Secure storage for road and mountain bikes provided, paddocks for ponies and dry storage available on request.

 

Camping in Tents

 

Dolly’s Cot and Crab Apple are our dedicated camping fields. They are just a short hike upstream from Dartmeet and are situated on the lush green banks of the East Dart. It is a Swallows and Amazons picture book setting undisturbed by anything save the beautiful birdsong, the gentle gurgling river and the soft breeze through the pine forest.

 

A moderate walk uphill through the woods and you will find yourself aloft Brimpts Newtake. Bleached grass, scatterings of pineapple scented gorse and earthy purple heather temper a landscape of mottled yellow and green. The views of the surrounding National Park reach down to the distant South Devon coast and are exquisite. The Newtake and its sombre beauty is one of The Farm’s most treasured features.

 

It’s proper, rustic camping at Brimpts Farm. Sensible, carefully managed campfires are permitted as long as you leave this little eco-idyll exactly as you find it. Loos and running water are located a short, brisk, uphill walk away at The Farmhouse. We welcome organised groups.

 

Our camping facilities are perfectly suited to Duke of Edinburgh students and Ten Tor pioneers.

 

Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they’re under control and no hindrance to farm stock. Sorry, we do not accept caravans.
